Taken in downtown Phoenix, just prior to Zombie Walk 4.

For the first time, I've noticed bokeh in my own photograph, and I'm pretty pleased with it. . .

I love it when flowers do this. Nature is so amazing.

We used to stick carnations into coloured water and stuff to make them unnatural colours - which I know is still standard - but I still think it's funny as heck. XD

They even do that trick with phalaenopsis orchids, can you believe it?! My father bought one with these cornflower blue colored flowers, and was terribly disappointed when subsequent flowerings brought plain white flowers (which he has plenty of, already).

And I seem to remember in school doing this with either a leaf of lettuce, or celery stalk--maybe both.
