Inconsequential Musings
Lots of stuff has changed in my life over the last week.
Some of it was not good.
Some of it, I don't know whether it's good or bad yet.
Most of it has to do with my job, my hubby's job, or job opportunities that never came to be.

Currently, I'm typing up the next (several) parts to Tegwen's story. It looks like we're going to update in weekly chunks. (A week's worth of time in the story, once a week.) I'd toss it onto the website in one big chunk when it's ready to go, but. . . uh. . . well . . . just in the past four days alone, I've typed up about forty pages of text.
So in the interests of not scaring off the two or three of you who are actually reading my fic, I'm going to post in smaller increments so as not to make with the intimidation.
And meanwhile I'm typing and hurting myself in doing so, I look to my right at Scott's monitor. He's working on an image that will accompany a scene that takes place on Christmas Eve in the story.
Tegwen (the way I see her in my mind's eye) is jumping up and down and clapping enthusiastically and absolutely LOVES Scott for the way he shades.
I, myself, am looking at his contribution to this collaboration and am. . . inexplicably VERY jealous of her.
And apparently Scott's VERY good at shading men. *Siiiiiiiigh* (And shading Tegwen is going to be his reward, apparently. Wow.) I cannot, cannot, CANNOT wait to share this drawing!

(Sally, this is the drawing we sent you as a sketch. . . I think it was like a month or two ago? You know, the one I'm totally going to hell for? Yeah, that one. OMFG. Remember how the last time you were here when Scott went to work and you and I were gushing about how hot that one sketch of Scott's was. . . .? Yeah, that one's got nothing on this one, the way it's being shaded. *melt*)
I think I'm gonna go look at photos of Selanne now for a little while. I need to go cleanse my palate.

*is actually going to work on the scene that accompanies the drawing, which means I'm ALMOST DONE WITH THIS STUPID PART OF THE STORY!*
*REALLY fully understands the term "labor of love" at this point*

Devious Comments
Actually, for the Eastern Conference, I've got my money on the Penguins.
And thanks for the sympathy.
Ah well, there's always next year, right?
As far as the logo, from what I know (being a new fan to Ducks/hockey) - they changed ownership and did want to distance themselves from the former franchise (not just the movies, but the old cartoon, anything Disney, I suspect. . .). I don't blame them at all. Who could take them seriously with teal (*coughcough* SHARKS *coughcough*
Thank God the fans convinced them to keep WildWing as their mascot, though!!

There'd be a whole lot of wrath-incurring going on. There'd be more incurring of wrath here than there was begatting in the bible!
BTW, why they change their logo, loved that lil' Disney style Hockey duck mask they had-unless they wanted to be taken more seriously and separate themselves from those damn movies!
Pens won there first game against the Flyers tonight
And are you trying to get me to come over there and pick a fight with you?!
Contrary to popular belief (since Ducks are out) I'm rooting for the Penguins in this round. (If you're a Penguins fan, some of this podcast: [link] may tickle you a little. . . But you have to watch through to the end of the credits.)
